The Harrison Rush/Fire Drill Weekly Wrap-Up

A Brief, Reliable, Rundown of the Investment Banking Recruiting Market.

The Next 8 Weeks

The pace of lateral hiring is expected to maintain its current cadence for the next eight weeks. As we move into late Fall, banks will start planning for Q1. We expect most of the job postings we see now will be filled in Q1 because banks do not want to buy-out bonuses. Hiring managers face the following issues: Bankers do not want to leave this late in the year without a guarantee because there is a lot of uncertainty in the air. Another significant concern is that most junior bankers have limited deal reps. The markets have been slow, and Associates and Analysts have not had the opportunity to close many deals.

Interfaith Ministry

In June, I completed my Interfaith Ministry program with All Faith Seminary International. Interfaith ministry involves training individuals to serve as ministers across different faith traditions. The program equips students with knowledge of various religions, along with skills in counseling, ritual, and ceremony, to support individuals and communities with diverse spiritual needs. I volunteer as a hospice worker and have an active music therapy practice. I combine career counseling with a focus on what is most important (for free).
Through this training, students gain the tools to support understanding, peace, and cooperation
among different faith and cultural groups, addressing universally human spiritual needs inclusively and compassionately.
