The Harrison Rush/Fire Drill Weekly Wrap-Up
A Brief, Reliable, Rundown of the Investment Banking Recruiting Market.

Signs of Life in M&A and IPO Markets, But Caution Ahead
After a sluggish 18 months, the M&A and IPO markets are showing early signs of revival. Deal pipelines are gradually building, and several mid-cap IPOs have priced within range this quarter. Strategic buyers are re-engaging across various sectors, including Technology, Power and Infrastructure, and Healthcare. After a few sluggish years, even the real estate M&A market is showing signs of improvement.
However, this momentum comes with a note of caution. Despite signs of recovery, fee pools remain compressed, and deal volumes are still well below pre-2022 levels. Many firms are taking a hard look at their headcount, and we expect a wave of strategic layoffs across banking divisions as Q3 wraps up.

Interfaith Ministry
In June, I completed my Interfaith Ministry program with All Faith Seminary International. Interfaith ministry involves training individuals to serve as ministers across different faith traditions. The program equips students with knowledge of various religions, along with skills in counseling, ritual, and ceremony, to support individuals and communities with diverse spiritual needs. I volunteer as a hospice worker and have an active music therapy practice. I am available to anyone who is seeking spiritual guidance or support.
Through this training, students gain the tools to support understanding, peace, and cooperation
among different faith and cultural groups, addressing universally human spiritual needs inclusively and compassionately.
